Hello Everyone,
This year has been a big one for me and I feel that I need a change. A change of scene, a change of pace and a fresh creative start. That is the idea behind this new blog. Leaving the past behind, beginning with fresh ideas, fresh thoughts and an excitement to see where my future leads.
For the rest of this year I will be sharing my he{ART} and craft with the idea of just getting it out there . Sharing my work from my weekly creative sessions at Scrap Matrix's "Texture Tuesdays", my local scrapbooking store, along with doing some challenges from different challenge blogs, with no pressure to get any particular ones done, just the idea of being inspired and seeing where that leads me. Also I will be gathering inspiration from Wilna's I Heart Studio 'Art Class One' and 'Art Class Two' and from my three 'Pop & Color' classes.
Also a place to show my new art journaling, inspired by Art to the 5th and others like Julie Fei Fan Balzer. Art journaling is new to me, and I am excited about take Art to the 5th's "The Documented Life -2015" in 2015. But for the remainder of this year I am going to work in my current journal which sadly a little empty at the moment, trying to fill it with some of the challenges from this years "The Documented Life - 2014" and also by whatever inspires me, I have heaps of things pinned on Pinterest already, lol.
I have also discover Rae Missigman and her "15 Minute of Mixed Media". I plan to try to do at least 1 of these a week, but hopefully about 5. We'll see how it goes. Rae also does "10 Things" and I think I would like to do something like it, maybe not 10 things but we'll see, lol.
Finally I plan to go a little gelli print mad, lol,and a little crazy experimenting on tags and ATC sized pieces of cardstock and paper. The idea being that when next year begins I will have a stock pile of bits and pieces to create with. I like the idea of having some jumping off from platforms, somewhere to start, and some easy colors and patterns to add in case I'm feeling uninspired.
So I think that's about it for my first post. A simple telling of where I am coming from right now and where I want to go from here. In my next post I will do a bit of a catch-up post about what I have been doing, creatively, for the last couple of months.
Chat to you again soon.
Love
Michelle
